Ben began his career at WDT as a student mapping hail swaths. After receiving his BS and MS in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, he worked for the National Weather Serviceʼs Warning Decision Training Branch as a warning and radar educator. He returned to WDT in 2010 as part of the radar team and was the architect of the HailExpress HD automated hailswath detection algorithm and the TornadoTrax detection algorithm. Ben now leads weather content team at WDT. His team is responsible for creating innovative and unique products that satisfy customer’s needs for high quality weather data.
