A surface high will slowly shift into the Eastern Atlantic throughout the day on Thursday, allowing for a surface low to develop in the Gulf of Mexico. This surface low will bring general showers and thunderstorms along the northern Gulf Coast during the overnight hours on Thursday. Elsewhere, a series of upper level disturbances will track into the western portion of the country, bringing snow to the Northern Rockies and light showers along the Pacific Coast.
