Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible today for the Upper Midwest and the Southern Plains. General thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.

A shortwave trough will push across the Upper Midwest on Friday with the potential for severe weather mainly across Minnesota. Strong to severe thunderstorms with hail and damaging winds will be possible across Minnesota. Otherwise, general showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the eastern two thirds of the country.

Across the Del Rio region, heavy rain will continue with another 2-3 inches of rain possible. A high risk of flooding will continue for the region.
