General thunderstorms will be possible on Friday from portions of the Midwest to the Tennessee Valley. High pressure will build into the Lower Mississippi Valley on Friday as the polar jet lifts northward. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be prominent across the Southeast. A few thunderstorms will be possible across the Upper Midwest with hail and damaging winds possible. An upper level disturbance will allow for the potential for thunderstorms from Nebraska into Kansas, and into New Mexico. Strong winds and hail will be possible with these storms.
