Showers and thunderstorms will be possible for Tuesday across portions of the East Coast, Midwest, Mid and Lower Mississippi River Valley and into the Western Gulf Coast ahead of a cold front. Flash flooding will remain a concern as heavy rain continues.

The front moving across the Eastern US will slow down, allowing for additional flooding, especially over the Middle Mississippi River Valley and Western Gulf Coast. Up to 2 inches of rain will be possible in some areas.
