Isolated to scattered showers and isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday for portions of the Central Plains and Midwest. Across the Northern Rockies, up to 3 inches of rain and up to 6 inches of snow are possible.
An area of low pressure will dig through the Desert Southwest and into the Plains. Showers and thunderstorms will develop across portions of the Intermountain West, Plains, and Midwest. Some thunderstorms will have the potential to become severe with large hail and damaging winds.
Heavy rain will be possible for portions of the Northern Rockies and Great Basin with up to 3" of rain possible. In the higher elevations, up to 6 inches of snow will be possible.
