Severe thunderstorms with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be likely over portions of North Carolina and Virginia. Thunderstorms will increase in coverage through the afternoon as an upper level trough continues to approach the region. With strong shear in place, supercells will be possible. A Tornado Watch is likely for this region over the next few hours.
