Showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday for portions of the Upper Midwest and Mid Mississippi River Valley with severe thunderstorms possible for the Lower Mississippi River Valley. Rain will continue for portions of the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies.

An area of low pressure will lift across the Great Lakes with widespread showers over the Upper Midwest and into Missouri. A few severe thunderstorms will be possible for the Lower Mississippi River Valley by mid to late afternoon, but should diminish after dark. Hail and isolated severe winds will be possible.
