Slight Risk of Severe Thunderstorms for Southern Plains

There is a slight risk of severe weather for portions of the Plains today ahead of a stalled front. This area extends from portions of Southwestern Texas into the Arklatex region. Daytime heating will be sufficient for destabilization, leading to the development of thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds from bowed segments will be possible.
