A few thunderstorms will be possible for portions of Eastern Kansas, Southwestern Oklahoma and Northwestern Texas on Tuesday. Some of these storms will have the potential to become severe. Mountain snow is possible from portions of Washington to portions of California and into the Northern and Central Rockies.
Snow over the Upper Midwest will taper off during the day. Another system moving onto the Pacific Coast will bring snow to central portions of the Rockies and Plains. A few severe thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the Plains. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats. Any storms that develop should subside after dark.
