Hazardous Weather Outlook for Friday, March 21, 2014

Light to moderate snow is possible on Friday for portions of the Northern Plains into the Great Lakes, as well as portions of the Rockies. A marginal severe thunderstorm potential exists late in the day for portions of the Southern Plains.

A clipper system will track into the Upper Mississippi River Valley and Great Lakes, bringing light to moderate snow and a rain/snow mix for portions of the Great Lakes. A front moving through the Rockies will bring some light snow to the region with light accumulations. The front will continue to track into the Plains and bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms to portions of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Large hail will be the main concern.
