Snowfall Records Broken in Chicago

Today marked the 45th day this winter of measurable snow in Chicago. This is a record for the number of snow days through March 5 in 129 years of snow records. There's another record in jeopardy of being broken as well. As of 6am this morning, 73.9 inches of snow has been reported at O'Hare International Airport, which is 3.1 inches away from the third snowiest winter. Another 1-4 inches of snow is possible through the day. O'Hare reported more than 100 cancelled flights and more than 40 delayed flights. Temperatures will rise above freezing on Friday.
