An area of low pressure will track into the Rockies, bringing the potential for heavy snow to portions of the Central Rockies.

Region 1

Moderate to heavy snow is forecast on Monday across Region 1 as an area of low pressure continues to intensify across the Western US. Snow accumulations of 4-7 inches with locally higher amounts in excess of 9 inches possible in the higher elevations. Winds of 20-25 miles per hour with gusts in excess of 30 miles per hour will be possible. Visibilities of less than one mile will be possible at times. For portions of Northeastern Utah, Northwestern Colorado, and Southwestern Wyoming, 2-4 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts in excess of 6 inches, will be possible from Monday morning through Wednesday morning.
