Rainfall amounts approaching 12 inches have caused massive flooding problems in West Virginia. Known for its mountainous terrain, high water has flooded homes and business, cut power, and damaged the infrastructure in some area.
West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomlin has declared a State of Emergency for 44 counties. Multiple fatalities have been reported. Damage is extensive, as seen in some recent tweets.

Have you seen this one though? Hopefully, no one was in this car. This is a prime example of why you shouldn't even attempt to drive on a flooded road. You never know when then waters may suddenly rise and increase in speed. No vehicle, big or small, is a match for water.

Some small towns have been cut off as water has risen to block roads. Local Emergency Management have had to reach a few locations by helicopter and the National Guard has been called in to assist.
