Nike has set out to break the 2-hour mark for a marathon, something that has never been done. They have chosen the athletes, developed new high-performance shoes, determined the training plan for the athletes, the data they will gather during training, and the location for the attempt.

Just outside Milan, Italy is a Formula One (F1) race track in the town of Monza. On March 7th, Nike held a test run or simulation of the event to practice the logistics and learn what they still might want to adjust before the actual event. The location can certainly have some not so ideal weather conditions.
