In my 15 years of selling weather services I have learned a few things in regard to human behavior and our response to weather events. Most folks find the time and resources to provide actionable intelligence to their company's continuity plans when disaster is imminent or has already happened. The key concept here is that the time to plan is when things are good and not during the event or post event.
Weather is the most common natural disaster interrupting business. FEMA reports that 40 percent of businesses fail to recover after a significant weather event, and the failure is usually due to a lack of having an action plan.

In the Information age we now live, how does one sift through the myriad of data available and put together a response plan ensuring continuity of their business and keeping employees safe? It all starts with setting a goal and communicating it throughout the organization. Private weather services such as WeatherOps can tailor a site-specific weather risk suite of information. We will work with you and your companiy's goals. While no plan is perfect, "Failing to plan is planning to fail." ~Alan Laekin"
