Excessive rainfall is possible on Tuesday across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.
A series of upper level disturbances moving across the country will promote the development of a trough over the eastern US. At the surface, moisture associated with the dissipating remnants of Patricia will move northward into the Ohio Valley. Ongoing showers and thunderstorms will allow for a risk for excessive rainfall along portions of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys through Wednesday morning. Rainfall accumulations of 1-2 inches are likely with some areas seeing in excess of 3 inches. Flash flooding and local runoff will be possible.
