Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on Friday for the Delmarva Peninsula.
By Friday, the risk of any type of severe weather across West Texas will diminish as a closed upper level low retrogrades toward Baja California. The focus will be across the Northeast where a passing shortwave trough and cold front are expected to maintain thunderstorms into the afternoon and evening. Limited instability and directional wind shear should preclude any widespread severe weather, but a few strong to severe thunderstorms could develop across the Delmarva by early afternoon with gusty winds in excess of 45 mph.
