Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday for portions of the Central Plains and Missouri Valley. Heavy rain and flash flooding is possible from the Mid Atlantic to the New England coast.

Another cold front will push through the Central Plains, bringing showers and thunderstorms by mid to late afternoon from Kansas into Iowa and Missouri. Primary impacts will be large hail and damaging winds. Thunderstorms will linger after dark, but the severe impacts will decline. Hail in excess of 1.5 inches and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph can be expected with the strongest storms.

Showers and thunderstorms across the Northeast will contribute to rainfall totals of 1-2 inches through Friday Morning. While significant flooding is not anticipated, minor runoff issues will be possible.
