Locally heavy rainfall in excess of 1-2 inches is possible on Tuesday across Western Florida.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Erika are forecast to affect Western Florida bringing heavy rainfall into the region. Rainfall accumulations of 1-1.5 inches with some areas receiving in excess of 2 inches will be possible. Flash flooding will be possible in areas that have already received 1-2 inches of rain in the past 24 hours.
In other parts of the country, a weak area of low pressure will continue to move from the Central Rockies into the Northern Plains. This will allow for isolated strong thunderstorms, but no widespread severe weather is expected.
