An area of low pressure will continue to track eastward and move through the southern Great Lakes, but conditions are not favorable for severe thunderstorms or heavy rainfall. A cold front extending from the low may generate some thunderstorms for portions of the Central and Southern Plains, as well as the Mid South region, with afternoon showers and storms possible across the Southeast. Otherwise, high pressure will be dominant across much of the country.
