Excessive rainfall is possible on Saturday for portions of the Northern Plains and Midwest.
Scattered thunderstorms will be likely during the afternoon and evening across portions of Iowa and Minnesota. Supercells will be possible early in the development, but will transition into lines and clusters by the evening. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary concerns with these storms.
Heavy rain between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain will be possible from Northwestern Missouri into Minnesota ahead of a slow moving low pressure system and cold front. Flash flooding will be possible in the heaviest bands.
