Marginally severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday for portions of the Mid Mississippi River and Ohio Valleys.

Middle Mississippi River and Ohio Valleys: A cold front is still on track to move across the
Midwest region Monday and into the Ohio Valley and Middle Mississippi River Valley by
Monday evening. Despite less than favorable vertical wind shear, the front will encroach
upon lower 70’s dewpoints and pockets of modest to moderate instability, which should
support showers and thunderstorms along the front, some marginally severe, from
Arkansas into the Tennessee Valley. A few storms could produce some small hail and an
isolated gust or two in excess of 45 mph.
