Severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday from the Central Plains through Georgia. Heavy rain and flooding is likely for Missouri.
An area of low pressure will move into the Great Plains today, allowing for low level moisture to increase across the Central Plains. The main area for severe threats looks to be across Missouri where a line of thunderstorms has already moved through this morning. Further development is likely this afternoon, with large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes possible. The rest of the region will have a threat for damaging winds.
Heavy rain is expected across Missouri in association with numerous thunderstorms, including complexes. Some areas could pick up in excess of 3.5 inches of rain. Flash and localized flooding is expected.
