Thunderstorms ongoing during the morning hours across portions of North Dakota will shift eastward across Minnesota this afternoon. Storms are expected to develop across higher terrain and move southeastward. While most activity is expected to be in the form of a convective complex, some storms may initially develop as isolated cells with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. After transitioning into a complex, the tornado threat will diminish with wind, hail, and heavy rain being the main threats.

Remnants of Tropical Storm Bill will continue to track through Missouri and Southern Illinois, bringing heavy rainfall to the region. Accumulations in excess of 3 inches with locally heavier amounts possible. Flooding of low lying areas, roads, and streams could occur.
