Particularly hazardous thunderstorms are possible Wednesday from Wyoming into the Southern Plains. Marginally hazardous thunderstorms are possible across the Southeast.

Wyoming through Central Plains/Central CONUS:As low pressure departs the Northern Plains, a broader trough of low pressure will begin to take shape across the Western CONUS. A low pressure system at the surface will begin to form and deepen across the South-Central High Plains. This will allow for upslope winds into the stronger severe region, where strong supercellular thunderstorms will initially form with very large hail and a tornado or two to be the primary threats before storms begin to line out and move eastward, causing the primary hazards to then become damaging wind gusts and some hail, as well as potentially an embedded tornado.

Southeast:The upper-low across the Southeast is not expected to move much through the middle of the week. Wednesday will be another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the region with a few marginally severe storms not out of the question.
