Helping Business Weather the Storm

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday, April 25, 2015

by WeatherOps, on Apr 24, 2015 3:27:06 PM

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rain is possible Saturday across portions of the Midwest and Southeast.

Midwest and Southeast: As low pressure begins to track out of the Southern Plains and into the Midwest/Southeast, additional showers and thunderstorms will develop across the region. Residual storms from Friday will likely be ongoing during the morning hours which will aid in development during the afternoon hours. Moderate instability, abundant moisture, and favorable vertical wind profiles will allow for stronger to severe storms to build through the region, with damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and isolated tornadoes possible.

Lower Mississippi Valley: Showers and thunderstorms tracking across the region will bring an additional 2+ inches of precipitation on Saturday. Localized areas across Northern Louisiana and Mississippi as well as into Southern Tennessee and east could see accumulations in excess of 3 inches. Flooding may occur.
