Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday across the Southern Plains.
Continued instability across Texas and an area of low pressure across North Central Texas will allow for the development of showers and thunderstorms by early afternoon. These storms will move eastward through Mississippi through the evening. Storms will be capable of large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes.
