Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday across portions of the Southern Plains.

Continued instability across Texas on Thursday combined with a passing low pressure trough across North Central Texas will allow for the development of another cluster of showers and thunderstorms. Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely by the early afternoon and will move eastward through Mississippi into the evening period. Storms will be capable of large hail, damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, heavy rain, and a few isolated tornadoes.
