Southern Plains: As the low pressure disturbance begins to deepen and advance out of the Central Rockies, showers and thunderstorms will develop across Texas and Oklahoma during the afternoon hours. Modest moisture, increased instability and decent vertical wind shear will favor stronger to severe storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, hail and tornadoes.
Central Rockies: Rain and snow showers in association with the low pressure system through the region will produce moderate to heavy snow accumulations through the Central Rockies again on Thursday. Accumulations of 8-10 inches could occur, with higher amounts possible in areas of greatest elevation. Impact to travel conditions is likely.
