Heavy rain will continue Wednesday across the Southeast. Moderate to heavy snow is possible across the Central Rockies. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the Southern Plains.

Southeast: Conditions will continue to favor rain and thunderstorm activity over the southeastern US on Wednesday as low pressure continues to track to the east and a frontal boundary stalls along the Gulf Coast. An additional 1-2 inches in accumulation could occur.

Central Rockies: Low pressure in the Pacific Northwest will begin to deepen and advance into the Central Rockies on Wednesday. Rain and snow showers are possible through the mountainous region, with accumulations of 6-8 inches possible. Heaviest accumulations will likely remain in areas of highest elevation. Travel through mountain passes could be affected.

Southern Plains: Deepening low pressure through the Central Rockies will allow for showers and thunderstorms to develop across West Texas/Oklahoma on Wednesday. While widespread severe storms are not anticipated at this time, conditions could warrant a few stronger storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail.
