Isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Monday for Central and South Texas. Heavy rain is possible from Eastern Oklahoma to Western Tennessee and across portions of Southeast Texas and Louisiana.

An area of low pressure will allow for isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening. Hail and strong to severe wind gusts will be the main hazards with any storms that develop.

Across Eastern Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Western Tennessee, an advancing cold front will interact with Gulf moisture moving northward into the region. 1-2 inches will be possible in most areas, with localized areas picking up as much as 3 inches.

Shower and thunderstorm activity across Southeastern Texas and Louisiana is likely today. 1-2 inches of rain will be possible with locally higher amounts over Louisiana.
