Severe thunderstorms are likely today across the Mississippi Valley ahead of an area of low pressure and the attendant cold front. As thunderstorms develop, large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible from the Arklatex region to the southern Great Lakes. This evening individual storms will form a complex and move across the Ohio Valley and Lower Mississippi Valley. Hail and damaging winds would be the main concern with these storms.
