Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday from Eastern Texas to the Ohio Valley.
A strong trough will continue to move eastward on Friday allowing for scattered showers and thunderstorms from East Texas to the Ohio Valley. At the surface, a cold front will push across the Southern Plains and through the Southeastern US, allowing showers and thunderstorms to develop ahead of the line. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are expected throughout the day with the main risks being large hail and damaging winds. Isolated tornadoes will be possible.
