The cold front that brought the risk of severe thunderstorms will move into the Northern Gulf and offshore of the Southeastern US on Saturday allowing for the continued chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms. However, no severe thunderstorms are currently expected across the region. As the low associated with this cold front lifts across the Northeast light snowfall on the range of 3 to 6 inches will be possible from Northern Vermont to Northern Maine. An upper level low off the Pacific Northwest will drift eastward throughout the day allowing for light snow/showers along the US/Canadian border but no significant weather hazards are likely.
