Central Rockies:Low pressure will exit the Rockies and move eastward on Saturday but will allow for an additional 8 to 12 inches of snow mainly across Colorado. Isolated locations could exceed 12 inches of snow mainly in the highest elevations. Hazardous travel conditions will be possible in strong snowbanks with low visibilities likely at times.
Midwest into the Northeast: Low pressure will lift to the northeast from the Midwest on Saturday allowing for light to moderate snow from Illinois eastward into New England. Accumulations will likely average 4 to 8 inches in most locations with a few areas possibly seeing as high as 10 inches. Along the Southern Fringe of this system a wintry mix will remain possible from Tennessee eastward to Virginia with a tenth to a quarter inch of icing possible. Isolated locations across West Virginia and the high terrain of Southwestern Virginia could near a half inch of icing on Saturday.
