Light to moderate snow will be possible Monday across the Northeast. Scattered showers will continue for the Pacific Northwest. Thunderstorms will be possible across Northern Florida.
Heavy rain will remain across Northern California as another wave of low pressure tracks across the region. New rainfall totals of 2-3 inches will be possible across the higher terrain. Further north, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches will be possible along the Oregon coast into Washington.
Light to moderate snow will continue through much of the day across the Northeast. Snow will be possible from Northern Pennsylvania into Lower New England. 3-6 inches of snow will be possible with locally higher amounts across eastern Massachusetts. Snow will come to an end by or just after sunrise on Tuesday.
Across Northern Florida, a shortwave trough digging into the Southeast will bring a surface low just west of Florida by Monday evening with increasing wind shear and a small amount of instability. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible ahead of the low. A few thunderstorms may become marginally severe with a risk for small hail and winds gusting in excess of 45 mph.
