Heavy rain is likely Thursday along the West Coast. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will be likely across Florida. Moderate snow will continue for eastern Maine through the morning.
Heavy rain will begin today along the West Coast as moisture begins to stream northeastward into the region. .75-2 inches of rain can be expected from the coast of Washington to the coast of Northern California. The potential for flooding will increase through Friday.
Areas of rain and thunderstorms will continue across Central and Southern Florida ahead of a passing front. Some storms may be strong but widespread severe weather is not expected. Heavy rain in excess of 2 inches will be possible.
Snow will linger through eastern Maine through midday with accumulations of 5-10 inches.
