Moderate to heavy snow will be possible Thursday across the Pacific Northwest. A light wintry mix is possible early.
Strong low pressure and cold front will slowly move into the Pacific Northwest on Thursday allowing for moderate to heavy snow to develop across the mountains. A light wintry mix will develop during the afternoon period and could allow for a tenth to a quarter inch of icing across parts of Washington State before all of this activity changes to snow for the evening period. Snow will likely continue into Friday morning with accumulations expected to average 12 to 18 inches with isolated locations in the highest peak possibly near 2 feet.
