Mid-Atlantic: A weak low pressure trough is expected to develop and lift across the Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday morning allowing for a wintry mix across the Carolinas and Southern Virginia. Wintry mix will develop late Tuesday evening and will continue until midday Wednesday allowing for accumulation between a tenth to a quarter inch. Winds will remain northerly averaging 10 to 20 mph during this icing event. Accumulations will likely develop on elevated surfaces and bridges and could create difficult travel conditions for Wednesday morning.
