Light to moderate snow with localized heavy lake effect snow will be possible Friday across portions of the Great Lakes and Northeast. Freezing rain will develop late Friday evening into Saturday morning across Central Texas. Up to two tenths of an inch of ice will be possible.

A weak area of low pressure will exit the Great Lakes and move across the Great Lakes on Friday. Lake effect snow will continue across the region with accumulations of a foot possible across Upstate New York with other locations seeing 4-8 inches throughout the day. 1-3 inches of snow will be possible across interior New England and Maine.

Across Central Texas, a cold front will surge southward across the Southern Plains with moisture surging from the Gulf. This will allow for light freezing rain across the area late Friday night into Saturday morning. Up to .2 inches of ice will be possible by Saturday morning.
