Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday, January 10, 2015

Freezing rain is likely on Saturday for portions of the Plains; up to a quarter inch of ice is possible. Light to moderate snow will be possible across the Great Lakes.
Southern Plains: Light freezing rain across much of Central Texas for Saturday morning will likely change back to showers by 8-10 am and will likely spread slowly northward across most of Northern Texas and into Southeastern Oklahoma throughout the day. Showers are expected to change back to freezing rain by Saturday evening and will continue into Sunday morning. Freezing rain will be possible from San Antonio northeastward into Eastern Arkansas with an additional tenth to a quarter inch of ice possible by dawn Sunday morning. Most of this freezing rain will likely accumulate on elevated surfaces across the region.
Great Lakes: Continued northwest to northerly flow across the Great Lakes on Saturday will allow for light to moderate snowfall across the lake shore areas of New York, Northern Michigan, and Southern Ontario, Accumulations will likely average 3 to 6 inches with a few locations nearing 8 to 10 inches in the strongest and slowest moving snow bands.
