Heavy snow is continuing across portions of the Plains with the heaviest of the snow across portions of South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. Snowfall rates of 1-1.5 inches per hour will be possible through the early evening across the Upper Midwest and Mid Mississippi Valley. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for portions of Eastern South Dakota and much of Iowa through early tomorrow morning. 5-8 inches of snow will be possible across much of the region.
