Moderate to heavy snow is likely from the Northern Rockies into the Great Lakes; light icing is possible across the Northern Rockies.
An area of low pressure will move eastward from the Northern Rockies toward the Great lakes, bringing a chance of moderate to heavy snow with very cold arctic air into the region. An additional 12-18 inches of snow will be possible across portions of Montana, Idaho, and Northern Wyoming. Up to a tenth of an inch of ice is possible across parts of Idaho and Montana. Further to the east, 4-8 inches of snow will be possible from the Dakotas into Northern Ohio.
