Moderate to heavy snow will be possible Wednesday for the Southwest US through the Four Corners region. Across Central to Northern Texas, light freezing rain and sleet is possible.
Southwest US through Four Corners: Digging trough of low pressure will deepen across the Desert Southwest on Wednesday with developing snow showers expected for the higher elevations. Portions of Southern California into Colorado and New Mexico will see periods of moderate to heavy snow. Low to mid-elevations will average between 4 to 8 inches, with the high elevations of Arizona accumulating over a foot in some regions. Gusty winds of 25 mph will cause regions of low visibility and blowing snow.
Central and Northern Texas: As moisture begins to surge into the US, more light icing is expected, this time for Central through Northern Texas. Around a glazing to a tenth of an inch is possible.
