Heavy snow and strong winds will be possible Thursday for portions of the Northern and Central Rockies. Heavy snow will linger over the Cascades.
Northern Rockies and Central Rockies: Low pressure will track SE-ward into the region on Thursday, allowing for moderate to heavy snow to develop across the region. 6 to 12 inches of total snowfall accumulation will be common across the region. Gusty winds will cause near blizzard conditions especially for the highest elevations.
Cascades: Lingering pockets of heavy snowfall are expected across the highest elevations of the Cascades on Thursday, with an additional 4 to 8 inches likely.
