Light snow is likely this afternoon and tonight as an upper level trough continues to move eastward into the Plains. The areas of greatest concern will be Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri. Snow accumulations will mainly be around an inch, but some areas may see as much as 2 inches. In addition, precipitation may begin as sleet and freezing rain before changing to snow, therefore, travel may be hazardous in places, especially on bridges and overpasses.
