Light to moderate snow will continue across Northern Michigan; lake effect enhancement is possible along the southern shore of Lake Superior. Moderate snowfall will continue for the California mountains. Continued rain and threats for flooding and mudslides will continue across Western California.
A surface low moving into the Great Lakes region will bring periods of snow to Northern Michigan. 2-6 inches of snow will be possible, with isolated higher amounts. Across the Cascades and Sierra Nevada, an area of low pressure and a cold front moving into California will bring 4-8 inches of snow to elevations above 5000 feet. Some isolated areas may receive up to 12 inches. Heavy rain will continue across Western California. .5-1 inch of rain will be possible. Due to recent rainfall, flooding and mudslides will be possible.
