Scattered showers and locally heavy rain are possible Friday for portions of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the Middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys.
Pacific Northwest Coast: Low pressure will pass through the Pacific Northwest on Friday with scattered showers expected for the coastal areas. While significant rainfall totals are unlikely, areas can expect to receive anywhere from a 0.5 inches to a 1.5 inches of rain through Friday night, with locally higher amounts not out of the question.
Middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys: Return moisture associated with a shortwave trough moving through the Middle Mississippi Valley on Friday will support developing showers and general thunderstorms for much of the day. Isolated rainfall totals of 1.5 inches or more will be possible with a small risk for local runoff. Significant impacts are not expected.
