Moderate to heavy snow is likely Friday for Northern Maine. Heavy rain will continue for portions of South Texas.

Moisture continues to stream into Southern Texas and the Lower Mississippi Valley, allowing showers and thunderstorms to continue through the day. 1-2 inches of additional rainfall will be possible, allowing for a continued risk of flash flooding and runoff. Moderate to heavy snow will continue for portions of the Upper Northeast, but should taper off by late afternoon. 8-12 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts will be possible.
